Anguilla has introduced a 10-year Dive Tourism Policy to boost sustainable growth while protecting its marine environment.
The Minister of Tourism highlighted that dive tourism has the potential to drive economic growth while fostering environmental stewardship, emphasizing the need for sustainable development that balances economic benefits with environmental protection.
The Dive Tourism Policy was launched on November 13 at the Ministry of Infrastructure’s conference room. It aims to improve visitor experiences, create economic opportunities for local businesses, and safeguard Anguilla’s marine ecosystem.
The policy further includes conservation, regulations, marketing, and community engagement guidelines, aiming to position Anguilla as a leader in sustainable marine tourism.
